I have had a problem with my children being physically and verbally on their school bus, buy there same group of kids. My 9 yr old daughter was slapped in the face, 3 times, the first week of school! When I called our board of education, I got no reply, until I started calling up the chain of command. And even then, I was told that the tapes were reviewed and they didn't see anything that my daughter had complained about. I had gotten most of my information from other children on the bus and their parents, yet the school was not willing to take any statements or do anything about the situation! The last straw was when my 15 year old son, who has Aspergers, was punched in the face. He is non aggressive and won't fight back. I called the board of education immediately and they gave me the same story about how they would review rather tape and get back to me. They did not! I've called the superintendent of our school system, as well as our mayor, about this problem and still, no one has called me back! When I did get a call back, I was told, yet again, there was nothing on the video, YET I know that when my son was punched, the child, also, busted the window of the bus, behind my sons head and it was replaced! I asked to see the video's for myself and was told, due to legal reasons, I wasn't allowed!! I am being pushed aside, until they've had ample time to make sure these tapes are no longer available, I feel! My 9 yr old is scared to death to return to school. I re been waiting on some kind of solution, from our superintendent that she can return to school, safely! She has been out for over 3 weeks!! We have got to put a stop to this. The parents of these kids have no idea what their children are doing, because the school isn't telling them that there's a problem! I'm not sure where to go from here and desperately need some guidance!
