Johnny's story

When my son was born, he couldn't speak intil he was 5 years old, I knew after having 2 other babies before him, that there was something wrong when he wasn't developing milestones that he should of been. So I took him when he was 2yrs. old to a specialist to start having him tested, he enter a special Ed class when he was 3and half for speech delays, then further testing found out he learning disabilties. That's how my story of my youngest son starts. He indured lots of teasing from other students for being different, he didn't know how to handle it so he would get into alot fights, I kept having him tested they labled him ADHD, BIpolar, all because me his mother was Bipolar, so they just assumed that was his diagnosis. Johnny was bullied all thru school, he is now a 11 th grader. When he was in 10th grade at a theraputic school, he was in a classroom with a total of 8 other students, 1 teacher, and 3 adult aides, my point of telling you how many adults where in the class with him, he got his nose broke, when he fell to the ground form being hit, he tried to get up and the boy kicked him back down to ground, this all happened with 4 adults in the room!! This story goes on, I could tell you so much more, but I don't even know where to begin. My son has been scarred terribly from all the horrible things that happened  to  him. Johnny was sent to a residential school in another state because acted out, by leaving a horrific voice message on his school's therapist's phone, because he was so scared to go back to that school where he felt helpless. Come to find out my son was diagnosised with PPD a form of Autism! WOW!! wish the people who were susposed to be helping us earlier on, took the time to give a proper diagnosis, I am just glad he is in a safe school, where he finally getting the help he needs to succeed in this world. Sorry, if this is hard to understand, but like I said, I his mother has Bipolar disorder, and dealing with all the stress of what has happened to my child has my brain stressed to the max. Hard for me to concentrate, deal with my sons illness daily, trying my best to help him thru it all, I hope no other parent or child has to go thru what we are , ever.
