It gets better - clichéd but true

I'm 25 years old, I was bullied from primary school all the way up to university, which caused me to drop out. I regretted my decision initially, but over the years it has become apparent that everything happens for a reason. I believe that everything happens for a reason (however bad it may seem at the time). That mantra has stuck with me for my whole life. I always treat people the way I want to be treated. It took a while for me to find any friends at all, but when you do find them, they love you for exactly who you are, no matter what. My two best friends in the whole world, I've known one of them for almost 11 years and the other one who I've known for 3 years is now my husband. Bullying is so cruel and unreasonable but it happens to everyone, everyday. Whether you're different physically or mentally or even just your accent or the way you eat your food. One day I hope that people will become more tolerant and take more of an interest in their children's lives to notice when their child is being a bully or being bullied and take action. It's not fair to these children, especially when you hear some of the reasons why they're bullied. It makes me sick.
