We need to mandate and empower school administrators, counselors, coaches, teachers and anyone responsible for the education and well-being of a child to be legally bound to report bullying to local authorities. More than one report of bullying by a child or parent should result in the filing of a mandatory report as in instances of child abuse, so parents of the bully are held accountable for their child’s behavior and school officials are bound by law to take action.
